Kiviniemi – a spacious log cabin

Kiviniemi log cabin is a warm and spacious holiday home by the lake – the perfect place to spend quality time with family or friends. The cabin was originally completed in 1989 and was extensively expanded and renovated in 2013. Kiviniemi comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests, and pets are welcome. 

The holiday home features a large and airy living area with stunning lake views. From the living room, you have access to the covered terrace, where you can grill, dine, and enjoy the scenery from the basket chairs. The fireplace and baking oven bring warmth and atmosphere to cooler days, while Wi-Fi and an LG Smart TV add to your comfort. 

The accommodation has been designed for even larger groups. On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms: two with double beds (160 cm) and one with two separate single beds. The lower loft upstairs has two single beds, and in addition, there is a separate bedroom on the loft with two single beds. For the youngest guests, a travel cot with bed linens is available on request. 

The kitchen is comprehensively and modernly equipped, making cooking easy even while on holiday. At the end of the day, the wood-heated sauna offers relaxing steam, and the sauna and washing facilities have their own entrance from the terrace. The bathroom includes the holiday home’s second toilet (separated by frosted glass), while another separate toilet is located next to the entrance hall. 
For longer stays, the utility room is equipped with a washing machine and drying cabinet. There is plenty of storage space both in the entrance area and in the wardrobes in the bedrooms. 

The yard features a large lawn area where it is easy to spend time outdoors – it is also perfect for outdoor games.

Lakeside sauna with fireplace

In summer, guests also have access to a lakeside sauna with a small fireplace lounge and an alcove for two people. The sauna has running water and electricity. In front of the sauna, there is a pier and a shallow shoreline with a clay bottom. Another pier is located in front of the cottage, where the shoreline has a sandy bottom and is slightly deeper. There is also an outbuilding in the yard, which serves as a storage shed/woodshed.

You can enjoy being close to nature and, for example, go listen to the gentle murmur of the Kaavinkoski rapids. On sunny summer days, it is lovely to relax in the sun and cool off now and then in the waves of Lake Rikkavesi. The shore also features a campfire area and a Muurikka outdoor kitchen. Guests can use outdoor games, including pétanque, Mölkky, croquet, and a dartboard, as well as four sun loungers. 

In autumn, berry-picking and mushroom-foraging spots can be found within walking distance. In winter, there is an opportunity to try snowshoeing. 
The cottage is located on the shore of Lake Rikkavesi, which offers excellent fishing opportunities. 

A rowing boat and fishing rods are available for guests to use.
